Set among oak woods in the hills south of the Red Fork, Acorn Hall is a modest stone castle with a curtain wall and a single round tower. The country around it is good for pigs, timber and little else.
House Smallwood has held it for generations as bannermen of Riverrun. Its position off the main roads spares it some of the traffic that plagues the river crossings, though raiders working the southern riverlands know the way well enough.
