On the coast north of Lannisport, Kayce is a walled town and harbour facing Fair Isle across the water. It handles fishing and coastal trade along the western shore.
House Kenning of Kayce holds it under the Lannisters, a family said to descend from an ironborn conqueror who once ruled the coast. The town's defences reflect centuries of exposure to raiders coming down from the Iron Islands.
