Running through the eastern Red Mountains between the Sea of Dorne and the stormlands, the Boneway is narrower, steeper and drier than the Prince's Pass, and the remains of those who died on it gave the road its name.
Wyl and Yronwood guard its Dornish end. Armies attempting to force Dorne by this route have historically fared badly, since the road offers ambush points along nearly its whole length.
