Built beside the lake that gives it its name in the northern Reach, Red Lake lies between Goldengrove and the roads running towards Highgarden. Water and good pasture make the surrounding lands productive.

House Crane holds it under the Tyrells, taking a pair of cranes for its arms. The family is old, dating back to the Gardener kings, and its knights appear regularly in the tourneys and hosts of the Reach.
