Along the north-eastern edge of the Vale, several long, narrow spits of rock reach into the narrow sea like fingers. The soil is thin, the wind constant, and the villages small and poor.
The smallest of these holdings belongs to House Baelish, a family raised only two generations ago from a Braavosi sellsword. Fishermen and sheep make up most of the local economy, and the coast is better known for shipwrecks than for anything grown on it.
