Deep in the wolfswood in the north-west, this castle sits on a great earthen mound with a wooden hall above and a palisade around it. The Bay of Ice lies close enough that ironborn longships can reach it easily.
House Glover holds it as masters rather than lords, sworn to Winterfell and mustering the woodsmen of the surrounding forest. Its position guards the western approach to the North, though timber walls make it weaker than the stone castles further inland.
