Somewhere in the bogs and channels of the Neck stands the hall of House Reed, built on a crannog that floats and shifts so that no map can fix its position. Even ravens are said to have trouble finding it.
The crannogmen who follow the Reeds are small, elusive marsh dwellers, expert with net, frog spear and poison, and fiercely loyal to Winterfell. Their knowledge of the swamps makes the Neck impassable to any force that lacks their guidance.
