Roughly forty leagues west of Winterfell, this squat fortress of squared stone guards the country between the wolfswood and the coast. It takes its name from Torrhen Stark, the last King in the North.

House Tallhart holds it, sworn to the Starks, and its garrison watches the western roads for raiders landing on the Stony Shore. The castle is small but solid, built for defence rather than comfort, with a broad square keep at its centre.
