Rising on a cliff above Shipbreaker Bay, this castle is a single colossal drum tower ringed by a curtain wall so thick and smoothly joined that wind and sea cannot find purchase. No siege has ever taken it by storm.
Durran Godsgrief is said to have built it seven times before the sea let it stand, and the Storm Kings ruled from it until Aegon's Conquest. House Baratheon has held it since, with Renly Baratheon as its lord.
