Standing near the eastern shore of the Vale below Gulltown, Wickenden looks out over the narrow sea. Roads from the port and the southern Vale holdings pass through its lands on the way inland.

House Waxley holds it as bannermen of the Arryns, and its lords are styled Knights of Wickenden. Beeswax and the sweet-smelling candles made from it give the seat its trade and its name, and Wickenden knights ride whenever the Eyrie musters.
