East of Riverrun in open horse country, Stone Hedge is the seat of House Bracken, who breed some of the finest mounts in Westeros. Raventree Hall stands close by across long disputed fields.

Brackens and Blackwoods have quarrelled for a thousand years over land, old kingship and older religion, and both were kings in the riverlands before the Andals came. Peace between them has never lasted more than a generation at a time.
