On the northern shore of Blackwater Bay, Duskendale is one of the oldest ports in Westeros, with a fine natural harbour and the Dun Fort guarding it. The road from King's Landing to Maidenpool runs through the town.
Trade here was greater before King's Landing was built and drew the shipping away. House Rykker holds the Dun Fort now, the previous ruling family having fallen after a famous defiance of the crown.
